Baagidha Vayassu, Mugiyuttiruva Vayassu…one foot in the grave….who is going to care for such people. Director of some quality films K Shivarudraiah is caring in his film ‘Magiya Kaala’. Novelist Ishwara Chandra looked at the possibility of such development in his novel ‘Ondhu Sooryana Kelage’. He is the one who has written ‘Munithayi’ that was adapted by doyen SR Puttanna Kanagal.
K Shivarudraiah after consulting S Ramachandra way back in the month of November, getting approval from Dr Girish Kasaravalli contacting editor of fame Suresh Urs has taken the script to Bodhi Creations. K Shivarudraiah long time friend Amara Dev of Information department has written the dialogues for this film and in a short span of time ‘Magila Kaala’ is ready. Shot in Mysore, Bangalore, Mangalore and Sakleshpur with main actors Nishanth and Bindhu the director in his sixth film roped in Krishna Adiga and Pramila – as old couple who will be adopted by the young pair.
The Kannada film ‘Onduralli’ that has the screenplay of Dr HS Venkatesha Murthy directed by Nikil Manjoo is on the finding of lost emotions of brother, mother, wife and children…..this one ‘Magiya Kala’ is also on the same theme.
Murukodu Chinnaswamy the poet and stage play director introducing his son Nishanth feels the strength for transformation in cinema is big while literature is also good in powerful thoughts.
Nishanth looked nervous in his first address to the media. He has agreed that the experience is small and experience earned from the film ‘Magiya Kala’ is very good. The pretty looking Bindhu from a child actress grown to the heroine spot today feels it is a soft and homely role.
92 and 98 years oldies living in the orphan houses have shared the screen space. K Shivaduraiaha has censored the film on December 29 and it is one of the ten plus films contesting for the National awards next year.
