The government of Karnataka should institute an award in the name of R.Nagendra Rao one of the pillars of Kannada cinema disclosed his son Sudarshan speaking at the ‘Belli Hejje’ organized by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy on every second Saturday of the month.
RN Sudarshan and Shylasri ‘Belli Hejje’ is the 15th in the series. This was held at as usual Badami House in Priyadarshini Hall.
‘I am not telling that the award should be instituted just because I am the son of R Nagendra Rao’. The service and contribution of him is high pointed Sudarshan. The Subashnagar circle in the name of RNR was discussed. The government also knows about it. The family of RNR has not got the right recognition from the government but people have given the real affection said Sudarshan.
It is the story that is very important for the success of any language film feels Sudarshan. The ‘Kannadathana’ should not go away in any Kannada film opines the experienced actor. Dubbing culture is not feasible. The technicality concentration today is more. What the youngsters should know is that there will be no proper story in it.
Drawing his attention on the artists fraternity Sudarshan said there is no barricade of language for any artist. I have acted in 350 films in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam languages. I am still hungry to act. I want to be in comedy roles. I am waiting for the chance.
Smt Shylasri also spoke at this ‘Belli Hejje’ on her early days and career. TS Nagabharana KCA Chairman was present at this event. Senior journalist Sadashiva Shenoy handled the hour plus ‘Belli Hejje’.
