The KFCC is so conducive to non Kannada films. One should appreciate it and give an award for such tolerance. Three Telugu and Three Tamil films can get released but when it comes to Kannada it should be only one says the bigwigs of the Kannada cinema industry.
The industry people know very well that the profits of releasing two films at the festive season would be a blow to both the Kannada films. That is why it said come next Friday to ‘Kanteerava’. KFCC officials are Ranadheera Kanteeravas!
At the festival time there will be no money in the pocket of audience of Kannada cinema. While non Kannada film viewers will be having credit cards in their pocket the KFCC rulers know pretty well.
The result of it is that in a six screen Inox for example five screens are showing films like Siruthai, Aadukalam, Kavalan, Paramaveera Chakra, Dhirudu, Miruppakkam while in other places Yamla Pagal Hindi film and the 3D attraction The Green Hornet.
Kannadigas who have Eiffel tower strength of tolerance have to watch Kannada and other languages are in excess numbers at the theatre malls.
Another interesting thing is that there can be simultaneous release for Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English films but not for Kannada.
A film like ‘Boss’ also starring Shivaji Prabhu son of Shivaji sir should release only in Karnataka. Because releasing in other places would eat the profit of non Kannada films.
