The annual state budget has announced quality subsy to Kannada films from 50 films existing one to 75 Kannada films. From next financial year Rs.10 lakh is given as subsidy on the basis of quality for 75 Kannada films.
Besides this major boost the government has set aside Rs.5 crore for Kanteerava studio renovation, Rs.5 crores for international film festival plus Rs.1 crore for veteran comedy actor unforgettable Narasimharaju Kala Mandira in Tumkur.
