The actor from Hindi cinema who started as bad guy in ‘Daraar’ in 1996 and won best villain award from Film Fare is happy to be villain on Kannada screen too.

That is Arbaaz Khan the Bollywood actor cum producer who is elder brother of Salman Khan the highest actor of Hindi cinema today.

Actor of Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya, Garv, Hulchul, Malamaal Weekly, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Fool and Final, Jane To Ya Jaane Na, television actor Karishma, A miracle of destiny, producer of Dabangg and the latest Bodyguard was in very jovial mood to speak to the media in Bengaluru on his first filmy visit.

Arbaaz Khan married to Mallika Aurora plays villain in his first Kannada film and second south Indian films. He has seen quite a few Kannada films and he has seen ‘Chatrapathi’ Telugu film of SS Rajamouli before accepting the role in Kannada remake.

I don’t mind in doing a villain role. It suits me. I cannot get a hero role. Big or small role is not important. How effective it is important says Arbaaz Khan speaking to media at Atria Hotel in Bengaluru.

The actors from South Rajanikanth, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Kamal Hassan lived for a short period. It is only the heroines who came from Mumbai who made impressive debuts but heroine from south have made it big in Hindi cinema says Arbaaz Khan.

Moving on to his home production ‘Bodyguard’ the handsome hunk Arbaaz Khan says the film business is close to the ‘Dabangg’ collection.

According to Arbaaz Khan it is time for sequel films like how it began in Hollywood cinema. As long as people have interest we should go on making it. There more than nine sequels in Hindi he pointed. The multi star cast films according to him is the big stars Salman, Sharukh, Akshay, Aamir, Sanjay, Hrithik and other  working together. The seniors actors working in quickies that are making good business cannot be considered as star films he says.

He is excited to do the role in ‘Chatrapathi’. I look forward for more Kannada films say the actor with smile.
