Kannadadha Makkalella Ondagi Banni! Even the top of the state Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadanadna Gowda had come to the premier show of Sadashiva Shenoy renowned journalist debut Kannada film ‘Prarthane’ at GM Rejoyz situated in Malleswaram, Bengaluru on Sunday evening.
The Karnataka chief minister was the first person in the country to view the premier of the film. He came late but went early due to tight schedule.
Everyone should be part of protecting the Kannada language and land. The film ‘Prarthane’ of Sadashiva Shenoy premier on Gandhi Jayanthi day is apt because Gandhiji also opted for contribution of individual for the place he was born and brought up. Chief Minister was in the auditorium for one hour and left around 8.15 pm for another engagement.
100 years pride of Karnataka Prof G Venkatasubbaiah showed keen interest in watching the film and urged for development and growth of the language. The films should contribute in this direction he pointed. Smt Sudha Murthy and V Ravichandran wished to see the film and then talk.
At the crowded GM Rejoyz digital auditorium Karnataka CM SAdananda Gowda, Infosys founder Sudha Murthy, Dream merchant of Kannada cinema V Ravichandran, KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar took part in the flagging off the flag to inaugurate the film ‘Prarthane’. The motto of the film Namma Shale and Bashe flag was uveiled on this occasion.
PRARTHANE – directed by Sadashiva Shenoy is based on the story of JM Prahallad. Shenoy and Prahallad jointly made the screenplay too. Veer Samarth is the cameraman. This is the last cinematography of S Ramachandra.
Ananthnag, Prakash Rai, Pavitra Lokesh, Sachin Bharadwaj, Srinivasa Prabhu, BC Patil, Ashok and others are in the cast.
