One of the prestigious cinema halls at Seshadripuram Road opposite to Murugan Arts – Kino theatre has been demolished.

One of the oldest theatres of Bengaluru known in the beginning days for its finest maintenance Kino theatre screened Tamil cinema for a long time. The property disputes in the family lead to closure of the cinema hall eight years ago.

Kino theatre a spacious and strongly constructed structure has been razed by 75 percent and rest soon.  What will come up at this spot the prime one very near to Anand Rao Circle? Ask phone No.23443907 – it says the number has been temporarily withdrawn.

A few furlongs from Kino theatre is Movieland, Kapali, Anupama and Triveni theatres. On the same line was Geetha and to the left of Geetha was Himalaya and opposite was Majestic theatre – all demolished now. On the same road of Kino theatre towards Malleswaram side was Swasthik and Central theatres – both demolished for commercial complex. Nataraj theatre is still exists in the same old fashion.
