The thick pals challenging star Darshan bags the best actor award for his sterling role in ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’ Kannada cinema while Kichcha Sudeep gets the best supporting actor award for his chilling performance in ‘Ega’ Telugu film.
For the first time Darshan and Sudeep two pillars of Kannada cinema are seen in one platform receiving awards at the 61 Film Fare award on 20th of July at Hyderabad.
The historical cinema of Kannada ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’ gets another right award of Best Film for producer Anand Appugol, while the best director award goes to Vijayaprasad of ‘Sidlingu’. It is a debut award for Vijayaprasad who is preparing ‘Neer Dosai’.
‘Sidlingu’ of Vijayaprasad direction also bags the best supporting actress award for sizzler Suman Ranganath while male supporting actor award goes to Atul Kulkarni for ‘Edegarike’ Kannada cinema.
V Harikrishna for music to Drama, Indu Nagaraj for ‘Pyaar Ge Agbuttaithe….song of Govindayanamaha. Avinash Chabbi for song Ellello Oduva manasu….Yogaraj Bhat for lyrics is the other award winners from Kannada filmdom for 61st year of Film Fare.
