In winning his first remake film of the three films in four years career director Prashanth Raj remained distinct. He has made a wonderful resolution of no more remakes in the career despite of ‘Whistle’ Tamil Pizza turning successful.

What the two films of Prashanth Raj not collected in the past – Whistle collected in just five days. The investment is Rs.2 crores, five days gross is Rs.2 cores, TV rights is Rs.1.30 crores. The rent for theatre is around 70 lakhs. That makes Rs.2.60 share for the producer. It is something unexpected. In five days ‘Whistle’ joins the list of successful films.

Director Prashanth Raj on this happy occasion making his lifetime resolution not to touch remakes shows the youngster confidence. Let us wish him good luck for future endeavors.

‘Whistle’ was also released in Mumbai, Pune and Chennai theatres. The response is 70 percent he says. The film is already picked for Berlin, Srilanka, Sydney international film festivals.
