Posted date: 23/May/2009

Astonished! Flabbergasted! Wondering what it is? Wait. Hanuman is stone made 23 feet height, 17 feet width and 160 tons ready at Kaira village in Doddaballapur from sculptor Ashok Gudigere is traveling to Chennai in the next week. This Hanuman statue is placed at the Porur one acre land by richly popular actor, director and producer of Tamil films Arjun who is known as Arjun Sarja in Kannada. It is a combination of Ramayana and Mahabharatha in ‘Kaliyug’!

‘Hanuman’ statue will get the final tuning in Chennai and this is dedicated to my father late Shakthi Prasad says Arjun speaking to media persons on Friday evening at Press Club of Bangalore.

The statue of ‘Hanuman’ will be kept for public and tourists. This is the biggest statue in the country and one at Namakkal is in standing posture while one at Porur will be sitting posture of Lord Hanuman. A big event is taking place at the unveiling ceremony of the statue says Arjun.

Arjun explained that he is installing this as a tribute to his father. This is what my father Sri Shakthi Prasad was doing had he lived. As a son even in the family I have done what he was supposed to do he pointed.

Apparently this Hanuman admirer feels the super power has entered him when he was penniless at ‘Sevakan’ film production and direction the first one in his career made by selling the property. The belief in me and confidence carried me to the flourishing career informed Arjun.

‘Vaayuputra’ is the film in Kannada Arjun Sarja has taken up with his sister son ‘Chiranjeevi’ as lead actor. Andrita Ray is the heroine. The film is all set for release in June end he says.
